San Antonio Rampage News Release
PUCKS & PAWS-Mar. 20: The Rampage will host their 4th annual Pucks & Paws Night this Sunday at 3 p.m. in which fans are encouraged to bring their dog to the game. Tickets are $20 (includes a $15 human ticket and $5 dog ticket) in which all $5 dog ticket proceeds will bene- fit the Alamo Area Partners for Animal Welfare (AAPAW).
PERSISTENT PK: The Rampage have exemplified strong penalty killing since their return to the Alamo City from the annual Rodeo road trip by only allowing two goals in their last 31 attempts for a 93.5% success rate the past seven outings.
ENERGIZER BUNNY: Goaltender Matt Climie has started the past 14 consecutive Ram- page games, a career-high for the Leduc, Alberta native. In that span, he has posted a 3.17 goals against average and a .917 save percentage. On the year, he has served 45 games in the crease and ranks fourth in the league in minutes played amongst netminders with 2,419.
FOR THE RECORD: Several Rampage players reached milestones this week. On March 10 vs. Oklahoma City, Ned Lukacevic played in his 300th professional contest, Bracken Kearns scored his 100th professional goal and Alex Picard registered his 200th profes- sional point. On March 13 vs. Grand Rapids, Matt Watkins skated in his 100th AHL game while Picard picked up his 100th professional assist and 200th AHL point.
RANDY ON A ROLE: Veteran center Randy Robitaille has earned a point in eight of his last 11 games including two multiple-point nights. He has collected three goals and eight assists in that time for 11 points.
ICE CHIPS: Jeff May- Defenseman
Defenseman Jeff May scored his first goal of the season against Manitoba on March 12. May has also earned five assists during the 2010-11 campaign giving him a total of six points in 41 games played.
The Richmond, British Columbia native has spent three seasons on the Rampage blue line from 2008-09 to the current season playing in 112 games and tallying four goals and 13 assists for 17 points.
May spent the majority of his junior hockey days playing for the Prince Albert Raiders of the Western Hockey League (WHL) having spent six seasons there from 2002-08. He registered 16 goals and 103 assists for 119 points in 281 games.
May was drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in the fifth round (151st overall) in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
THIS WEEK'S GAMES
Wednesday, March 16 & Friday, March 18 vs. Milwaukee Admirals
AT&T Center, 7:00 p.m.
The Rampage have an opportunity to cut the point differential between them and the division-leading Admirals as they face the club in a two-game home stand. At the halfway point of the series, the Rampage are dead- locked at 2-2-0-0 and are scheduled to face Milwaukee four more times this season.
Saturday, March 19 @ Houston Aeros; Toyota Center, 7:35 p.m.
Sunday, March 20 vs. Houston Aeros; AT&T Center, 3:00 p.m.
The Rampage will skate against their in-state rival for the last time this season in a home-and-home series. San Antonio has gone 4-4-0-0 against the Aeros during the 2010-11 campaign posting a 3-1-0-0 record at home and a 1-3-0-0 record on the road.
