Krug Returns to Elmira

The Chicago Wolves have reassigned defenseman MATT KRUG (KRUHG) to the ECHL's Elmira Jackals.

KRUG was recalled by the Wolves on March 9 and appeared in the team's 3-2 shootout win over the Peoria Rivermen that night. He has posted 13 points (3G, 10A) and 101 penalty minutes in 56 ECHL games with Elmira and the Gwinnett Gladiators this season.

The 25-year-old blueliner appeared in 75 games with the International Hockey League's Muskegon Lumberjacks during his professional debut last season.

Prior to turning pro, KRUG amassed 43 points (14G, 29A) and 288 penalty minutes in 134 CHA games with Wayne State University and Robert Morris University, spanning four seasons (2005-09).

The Wolves will host the Oklahoma City Barons at the Allstate Arena on Saturday, March 19, at 7 p.m.
