San Antonio Rampage News Release
SAN ANTONIO - The San Antonio Rampage (17-9-3-0) fell to the Oklahoma City Barons (19-7-2-2) 2-1 in overtime in front of 7,146 at the AT&T Center on Ugly Holiday Sweater Night on Saturday. Brett Olson scored the lone goal for San Antonio, and Michael Houser finished with 37 saves on 39 shots, setting a record for saves so far this season.
San Antonio and Oklahoma City were scoreless through the first period and much of the second until Olson slipped a backhand from the slot past Laurent Brossoit for his fifth of the season, giving San Antonio a 1-0 lead heading into the second intermission.
The Barons evened the score early in the final frame, as Connor and Kellen Jones connected on a give-and-go to knot the game at one and send the Barons and the Rampage to overtime for the fifth time in the six matchups between the West Division rivals so far this season.
Brandon Davidson's blast from the point beat Houser with just over a minute left in the extra frame to give Oklahoma City its second overtime win over the Rampage this season.
