SAN ANTONIO (November 8, 2008) - San Antonio Rampage General Manager Brad Treliving announced today that goaltender Joel Gistedt has been recalled from the Arizona Sundogs of the Central Hockey League.
Gistedt, a native of Uddevalla, Sweden, enters his first professional season with 67 saves and a .817 save percentage through three games with the Sundogs so far this season.
The 20-year-old was the Phoenix Coyotes' fourth choice, second round pick (36th overall) in the 2007 National Hockey League Entry Draft and will join the Rampage to fill Al Montoya's absence who is tending to a family matter for the weekend.
