San Antonio Rampage News Release
SAN ANTONIO (Feb. 9, 2014) - San Antonio Rampage General Manager Mike Santos announced today that the American Hockey League (AHL) club has reassigned forward Anthony Luciani to the club's ECHL affiliate, the Cincinnati Cyclones.
Luciani, 23, recorded one assist through two games with the Rampage after his recall on Feb. 4. He has spent the 2013-14 season with Cincinnati, and his 40 points tops all Cyclones skaters after being assigned to the club during training camp at the start of the year. Additionally, he leads the Cyclones in goals with 22 on the year. The 5-foot-8, 190-pound winger was named runner-up for the ECHL Player of the Week for the week ending Jan. 19. In that week, Luciani registered five goals and two assists in three games, with one of his goals coming as the game-winner.
The Maple, Ontario native has just 12 AHL games under his belt between Rochester and San Antonio, with three goals and two assists in that span. In 118 career ECHL games, he's recorded 48 goals and 57 assists.
Luciani began his career with the Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League, posting 160 points (73g-87a) in 181 career games. He made his professional and AHL debut with Rochester during the 2010-11 season, scoring two goals and adding an assist in three games to cap the season.
The Rampage continue their annual Rodeo Road Trip on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 14-15 with a back-to-back with the Grand Rapids Griffins from Van Andel Arena.
Individual and season tickets can be purchased by calling a Rampage representative at 210-444-5554 or online at sarampage.com.
