
Canadiens Assign Beaulieu to Bulldogs

MONTREAL, QUEBEC - Montreal Canadiens and Hamilton Bulldogs General Manager Marc Bergevin announced today the Canadiens have assigned defenceman Nathan Beaulieu to the Bulldogs.
Beaulieu has split this season between Hamilton and Montreal. In 32 games with Hamilton, the 6'2", 194-pound defenceman has recorded 14 points (four goals, 10 assists) and 21 penalty minutes. In 16 games with Montreal, the Strathroy, Ontario native has recorded two assists and eight penalty minutes.
In 99 career American Hockey League regular season games with the Bulldogs, the 21-year-old has recorded 45 points (11 goals, 34 assists) and 84 penalty minutes. In 22 career National Hockey League games with the Canadiens, he has recorded four assists and eight penalty minutes.
Beaulieu was selected by the Canadiens in the first round (17th overall) in the 2011 National Hockey League Entry Draft.
Hamilton's next game is scheduled for Sunday, February 9th, when the 'Dogs will visit the Toronto Marlies (AHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs) at 3:00 p.m. at Ricoh Coliseum in Toronto, Ontario. The Bulldogs will return to FirstOntario Centre on Saturday, February 15th when they will host the Texas Stars (AHL affiliate of the Dallas Stars) at 7:00 p.m.
