San Antonio Rampage News Release
OKLAHOMA CITY (December 2, 2011) - The San Antonio Rampage played the AHL's best team, the Oklahoma City Barons, to a tie through two periods but ultimately fell by a score of 1-0 on Friday night at the Cox Convention Center.
After two scoreless periods, Barons right wing Ryan Keller broke the 0-0 tie with a goal at the 8:31 mark of the final frame. Right wing Mark Arcobello dug the puck out of the right corner and passed to the right circle, where Keller took a shot that beat Rampage goalie Jacob Markstrom through the legs for his seventh goal of the season. Left wing Triston Grant picked up the secondary helper on the play.
Oklahoma City goalie David LeNeveu stopped all 22 San Antonio shots for his first shutout of the season and his third win over the Rampage this year. Markstrom turned aside 28 of the 29 Barons shots he faced in the San Antonio loss.
The Rampage (9-12-0-0) return home for their first home game in three weeks tomorrow to finish a back-to-back series with the Barons at 7 p.m. at the AT&T Center.
