
Rampage Goaltender Spencer Martin Recalled to Colorado Avalanche

SAN ANTONIO - The Colorado Avalanche today announced that goaltender Spencer Martin has been recalled from the San Antonio Rampage (AHL). Additionally, the Rampage have recalled goaltender Joe Cannata and forward Julien Nantel from the Colorado Eagles (ECHL).
Martin's call-up serves as his third recall to Colorado this season. He played in three contests with the Avalanche during the 2016-17 season, recording an .865 save percentage and 4.35 goals-against average. The Oakville, Ontario native made his NHL debut on Jan. 21 against the San Jose Sharks. Martin has appeared in 32 games with San Antonio this season, earning a 14-13-4 record, .895 save percentage and 3.02 goals-against average between the pipes.
Cannata has appeared in five games with the Rampage this season, recording a 1.84 goals-against average, .920 save percentage and one shutout. The Wakefield, Mass. native began the season with the Eagles, earning 19 wins in his 25 games played while registering a 2.16 goals-against average and ECHL-leading .933 save percentage.
Nantel has recorded eight points (6g/2a) in 47 contests with the Silver and Black, while adding 10 points (4g/6a) in 13 games with the Eagles this season.
The Rampage will host their 10th annual Pucks & Paws game, presented by Raising Cane's, tonight when they take on the Texas Stars at the AT&T Center at 7 p.m. Fans are encouraged to bring their four-legged friend to the game to cheer on the Rampage. Dog tickets can be purchased with a human ticket for an additional $5. All proceeds from each dog ticket sold will benefit the Animal Defense League of Texas. The first 1,000 dogs in attendance will receive a co-branded Rampage and Raising Cane's rope disk. Fans can also add two 16oz beers to any ticket for an additional $6.
