Linesmen: #7 Neil Campbell, #88 Brent Tubbs
CONDORS CAP: Tonight marks the eighth and final meeting with the Condors this season, and the fourth of four scheduled visits to Bakersfield's Rabobank Arena. The Roadrunners are playing the first of a four-game road trip; they're coming off of a 4-3 overtime loss to the San Jose Barracuda on Wednesday night. The Condors are playing a one-game stint at home; they're coming off of a 4-1 win over the Ontario Reign last night.
HAVING THEIR NUMBER: The Roadrunners have had a great deal of success against the Condors this season, posting a 6-1-0-0 record in the teams' seven meetings to date, including a 3-0-0-0 mark at Rabobank Arena. They have outscored Bakersfield by a 29-17 margin entering tonight's regular season series finale.
BE LIKE MIKE: In scoring his 23rd goal of the season Wednesday night against the San Jose Barracuda, Mike Sislo surpassed Dylan Strome to become the team's leading goal scorer. Sislo has six points (3G, 3A) in seven games played against the Condors this season, and since the start of December, he has registered points in 30 of the Roadrunners' 42 games played.
PROJECTED LINEUP: The team held a morning skate at Rabobank Arena ahead of tonight's game. Per club policy, specifics regarding the team's lineup will not be published until 5:00 PM this evening.
FORWARDS: (TBA)
DEFENSEMEN: (TBA)
GOALTENDERS: (TBA)
CAMPER'S CONTRIBUTIONS: On Wednesday night, Carter Camper registered his fourth multi-point performance in a Roadrunners uniform, in just his ninth game played with the club. He has accumulated a whopping 15 points (2G, 13A) in his short time with the team thus far, including an assist in the Roadrunners' most recent game against Bakersfield.
MARCHING ON: The Roadrunners have earned points in eight of their nine games played during the month of March, posting a 6-1-2-0 record - their only regulation loss coming at the hands of the Texas Stars on March 10. During this stretch, they have gone 3-1-1-0 on the road, improving their season record in opposing buildings to a stalwart 20-6-2-1, which is the best in Western Conference and second-best in the entire AHL.
THE LAST TIME AROUND: In the teams' previous meeting on March 14 at Bakersfield's Rabobank Arena, the Roadrunners defeated the Condors in overtime, 3-2. Mario Kempe scored a pair of goals, including the game-winner 1:27 into overtime. Hunter Miska stopped 19 of the 21 shots he faced to earn the win.
PLAYOFF PUSH: The Roadrunners enter the night tied with the Manitoba Moose for having the lowest magic number in the Western Conference (9). The Condors are on the outside of the playoff picture looking in, currently situated at seventh-place in the Pacific Division.
WE'RE DOING IT LIVE: You can catch tonight's action on AHL Live. Roadrunners play-by-play broadcaster Tom Callahan will have the radio call on AM 1450 Fox Sports Tucson. Radio coverage begins at 6:45 PM.
