Peoria, Ill. - Playing in their third game in as many nights, the San Antonio Rampage (5-12-0-1) fell to the Peoria Rivermen 4-3 Saturday night at Carver Arena in a game dominated by special teams.

Six of the seven goals were scored by the special teams unit, including Peoria's game-winning goal at 15:43 where Brendan Brooks scored his sixth goal of the season short-handed.

Rampage defenseman Brad Ference assisted on all three goals while Layne Ulmer and Brent Cullaton each tallied a goal and an assist.

Ulmer opened the game with a power-play goal for his sixth goal of the season at 15:43 in the first period.

Peoria took advantage of a pair of penalties and tied the game with 10 seconds remaining with a 5-on-3 power-play goal from Peter Sejna, his 12th on the season.

Cullaton collected his second goal in as many games breaking the 1-1 game with a power-play goal at 13:57 in the middle frame before the Rivermen scored another 5-on-3 power-play goal to even the score again.

Peoria's Ryan Ramsay broke the 2-2 stalemate just 4:15 in the third period with the game's lone even-strength goal.

Ference and Cullaton assisted on David Cornacchia's first goal of the season at 6:20 with a power-play goal to knot the game at 3-3.

Goaltender Karl Goehring, whom the Rampage claimed off AHL waivers from the Chicago Wolves earlier in the day, battled in goal and faced 44 shots-the third highest of the season. San Antonio managed just 19 shots.

The 4-3 loss is the third consecutive one-goal decision for San Antonio, who now have a 5-4-0-1 record in one-goal decision.
