Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders News Release
(Moosic, PA) -The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders drop the series opener 3-1 to the Buffalo Bisons. Estevan Florial and Carlos Narvaez each had a two-hit game.
Buffalo got on the board first with Addison Barger's solo shot to center field.
In the third inning, Ernie Clement singled and stole second to get into scoring position. Spencer Horwitz laced an RBI double for a 2-0 advantage.
Cameron Eden added one more with a run scoring single in the fourth.
The RailRiders got one back in the sixth. Florial doubled to begin the frame and was able to move over to third. Austin Wells recorded a sacrifice fly to bring him home for a 3-1 deficit. It was his first RBI in Triple-A
Jhony Brito (L, 2-2) tossed five innings off three-run ball with three strikeouts. Michael Gomez and Anthony Misiewiczhad clean outings.
Zach Thompson (W, 6-5) pitched a quality start for the Bisons while Zach Pop (S,1) got the save.
The RailRiders take on the Bisons in a day contest Wednesday. Lefty Tanner Tully is set to get the start at 1:05 PM.
