Milwaukee Admirals News Release

Nashville, Tenn. (November 7, 2002) - Nashville Predators Executive Vice President/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has recalled forward Cameron Mann from the Milwaukee Admirals (AHL).

Mann, 25 (4/20/77), has posted 16 points (6g-10a) and a +9 rating in 10 games this season for Milwaukee, tying him for the team lead in scoring. The 6-0, 195-pound Thompson, Manitoba native also leads Milwaukee in shots (33) and multiple point games (5) and is the only Admiral to register 4 points (1g-3a) in one game. Mann notched Milwaukee's only overtime game winning goal against the Chicago Wolves 10/26.

Mann recorded 19 goals, 32 assists and 83 penalty minutes in 61 games last season with the Dallas Stars' primary developmental affiliate, the Utah Grizzlies (AHL). He has posted 14 goals and 10 assists in 89 career NHL games with the Boston Bruins from 1997-2001. Mann was acquired by Nashville from Dallas with Ed Belfour for David Gosselin and a fifth-round selection in the 2003 Entry Draft on June 29, 2002.

In addition, the Predators placed forward Denis Pederson on injured reserve after he suffered a torn left bicep on Wednesday night at Anaheim. Pederson will be reevaluated this week in Nashville and is expected to be out of the lineup for at least two weeks.

Mann will join the Predators in San Jose for their Thursday night contest against the San Jose Sharks at 9:30 p.m. CT at the HP Pavilion at San Jose.

The Milwaukee Admirals take the ice for their next home game at the Bradley Center on Friday, November 15th against the Chicago Wolves at 7:12pm.
