Pirates, Ferraro Send Thanks

PORTLAND, ME - The Portland Pirates today, on behalf of Pirates' center Chris Ferraro and his family, extended thanks and appreciation for all those who have shared their thoughts and condolences following the death of Chris' wife Jennifer on Tuesday, November 5th.

The Ferraros ask that, in lieu of flowers, donations may be sent for a fund that will be established in Jennifer's name to benefit gastric cancer research. The fund will benefit work being done in Bethesda, Maryland where Jennifer was first treated following her diagnosis with the disease last fall and at Sloan-Kettering Hospital in New York where she passed away.
