Allen reassigned to Moose for the weekend

The Vancouver Canucks announced that they have reassigned defenceman Bryan Allen to the Manitoba Moose. Allen will join the Moose for their two home games on Friday and Saturday night against the Lowell Lock Monsters and will be recalled to Vancouver on Sunday.

This season, Allen has played six games with Vancouver, recording his first two career NHL goals and six penalty minutes. He has also played in two AHL contests for the Moose during the 2002-03 season and accumulating two penalty minutes and a +1 rating.

During the 2001-02 season, the Kingston, ON native played in 68 matches for the Moose and registered 25 points (seven goals, 18 assists) with 121 penalty minutes. In the 2002 AHL Playoffs, he played in five contests with one assist and 8 PIM. Allen, 22, also played in 11 NHL games with Vancouver during last season and had 6 PIM.

Allen was originally assigned to Manitoba on October 25, 2002.
