
Pozuelo Selected for 2019 MLS All-Star Game

Toronto FC midfielder Alejandro Pozuelo has been named to the 2019 Major League Soccer All-Star Game presented by Target, MLS announced Monday. The MLS All-Stars will face Spanish side, Atlético Madrid at Exploria Stadium in Orlando, Florida on Wednesday, July 31 at 8:00 p.m. ET.
Pozuelo, 27, has appeared in 13 matches, registering five goals and eight assists for TFC this season. Pozuelo made his MLS debut on March 29 against New York City FC, scoring two goals and added an assist in a 4-0 victory for the Reds.
Toronto FC's all-time All-Star list, in addition to Pozuelo, includes: Ronnie O'Brien (2007), Jimmy Brennan (2008), Dwayne De Rosario (2009, 2010), Jermain Defoe (2014), Jozy Altidore (2015, 2017), Michael Bradley (2014, 2015, 2017), and Sebastian Giovinco (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018).
