
Pigs Look to Capture Series against Chiefs

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs will look to make it two in a row and capture the series on Saturday night when they host the Syracuse Chiefs. First pitch from Coca-Cola Park is slated for 6:35 p.m.
RHP David Buchanan (2-0, 2.96) takes the hill for manager Dave Brundage's squad on Saturday night. Buchanan's last start came with the Phillies on Monday vs. Tampa Bay when he got the win after giving up three runs on six hits while walking three and fanning four over 6.1 IP. His last start in the IL came on July 7 vs. Pawtucket when he received a no-decision after giving up two runs on two hits to go along with a walk and a strikeout over three innings of work.
RHP Paolo Espino (3-3, 2.71) gets the ball for Syracuse opposite Buchanan. Espino earned the win on Sunday vs. Gwinnett after surrendering three runs on five hits while fanning a pair in his six innings of work. The right-hander is 1-3 with a 5.32 ERA over his last 4 GS.
Pigs INF/OF Chase d'Arnaud has hit safely in 12 of his last 16 games after going 2-5 with a triple and a pair of runs scored on Friday night. In that time, d'Arnaud is hitting .319-2-9 with four doubles, three triples and 14 runs scored.
