Perry Recalled to Toronto

COLUMBIA, S.C. (Dec. 12, 2007)-Defenseman Todd Perry has been recalled to the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, Columbia Inferno head coach and director of hockey operations Troy Mann announced today.

Perry, a 6-foot-3, 215-pound native of Ingleside, Ontario is in his first professional season. Through 24 games with the Inferno this season, he has 12 points (three goals, nine assists) and 29 penalty minutes.

"Obviously it's a great opportunity for Todd," Mann said. "He's having a phenomenal rookie year and he really deserves the chance to prove himself in Toronto."

Prior to turning pro, Perry had 51 points (five goals, 46 assists) and 340 penalty minutes in 163 Ontario Hockey League games with the Barrie Colts and London Knights from 2004-05 through 2006-07.

The Inferno return to the Carolina Coliseum on Friday, Dec. 28 to host the Charlotte Checkers at 1:05 p.m. The Inferno and the American Red Cross will be hosting a blood drive on the concourse during the game. Fans can pre-register for the blood drive by logging on to givelife.org.
