Florida Everblades News Release
ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades President & General Manager Craig Brush, along with Head Coach Gerry Fleming announced today that defenseman Jordan Henry and goaltender Justin Peters have been recalled to the American Hockey League.
Henry was recalled by the Florida Panthers and assigned to the Rochester Americans. The call-up is the second this season for the 21-year-old rookie, who earlier this season played in two games with the Americans. The Milo, Alberta native has seen action in 16 games with the Everblades this season, notching two goals, including the game-winning goal in Florida's 3-2 win over Columbia on December 8, and one assist. Henry made his professional debut with the Everblades on October 19 vs. Mississippi and scored his first professional goal on October 28 at Texas.
Peters returns to the AHL's Albany River Rats where he spent most of last season. The call-up is the first this season for the 21-year-old after playing in 34 games with the River Rats in 2006-07, compiling a record of 10-18-1. This season the Blyth, Ontario native is 10-4-1 in 15 games with the Everblades and at the time of his call-up has posted the league's sixth best goals against average at 2.17. Peters was also named the ECHL's Goaltender of the Month in October, and earned ECHL Goaltender of the Week honors for the week of November 26 - December 1.
