ALTOONA, PA - The Altoona Curve welcome No. 1 rated prospect Pedro Alvarez to Blair County Ballpark for this weekend's four-day, five-game, series with the Bowie Baysox (AA-Baltimore Orioles). This weekend features giveaways, performers, fireworks, and two new offers for Curve fans of all ages. The Curve will hand out 2,000 11x17 Pedro Alvarez posters in the opening game of the series. Entertainer Mad Chad and his juggling chainsaw act comes to BCB for the first time Saturday. Sunday features a post-game fireworks show and is the first time fans can begin to take advantage of the new Fireworks Four-Pack offer where buying tickets to three fireworks nights earns you a fourth fireworks night free! The series closes with Monday Madness "We've Got The Beat" night as the Curve salute all the local beat writers who follow everyone's hometown team with various contests throughout the night. Also Monday will be the first opportunity fans can take advantage of Monday Madness 2.0 and 3.0, in this promotion fans can purchase General Admission and Outfield Bleacher Tickets for $2 and all varieties of 16 oz. beer for $2 for a two-hour period. For fans wanting to upgrade to "version 3.0", Grandstand Tickets will be available for $3.

Friday June 26, 2009 - Bowie Baysox at Altoona Curve 7:05 p.m. (Gates open at 6:00 p.m.)

* Pedro Alvarez 11x17 posters will be handed out to the first 2,000 fans of all ages for his first home game with the Curve. * Kids run the bases.

Saturday June 27, 2009 - Bowie Baysox at Altoona Curve 5:05 p.m. Double-Header (Gates open at 4:00 p.m.)

* Entertainer Mad Chad will be at BCB with his trademark chainsaw juggling act for fans to enjoy. * Kids run the bases

Sunday June 28, 2009 - Bowie Baysox at Altoona Curve 6:05 p.m. (Gates open at 5:00 p.m.)

* Post-game Fireworks * Kids run the bases

Monday June 29, 2009 - Bowie Baysox at Altoona Curve 7:05 p.m. (Gates open at 6:00 p.m.)

* The homestand comes to close with Monday Madness "We've Got The Beat" night at BCB. Beat writers covering the Curve will be competing in contests throughout the evening. * Monday Madness 2.0/3.0 - Fans can purchase general admission outfield tickets for $2 and purchase 16 oz draft beers for $2 in version 2.0. For version 3.0 fans can upgrade to grandstand seats for $3.
