Baysox Celebrate Bowie Pride

BOWIE, Md. - The Baysox will display their community pride on Bowie Pride Night Monday, July 13, as the team takes on the Altoona Curve at 7:05 p.m. The team will give away reusable shopping bags, host raffles for local prizes and hand out bobble heads of their lovable mascot Louie to fans with valid Bowie addresses.

The first 500 fans can keep Bowie beautiful with a free black and orange reusable shopping bag, presented by the City of Bowie. The bag is black with orange straps, sporting a Baysox logo on one side and both Bowie and Prince George's County on the other.

Bowie State University will add to the excitement of the night. A member of the three-time Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association conference champion Lady Bulldogs softball team will throw out a ceremonial first pitch, Mr. and Miss Bowie State University will be on hand, as will a member of the university's cheerleading squad and the university's mascot, the Bowie State University Bulldog.

Fans with a valid Bowie address on their driver's license can stop by the Baysox fan assistance table to pick up a free Louie bobble head doll. The team will give away 200 bobbling renditions of their mascot. Children from Bowie wishing to acquire a bobble head must come to the table with a parent or guardian with a valid Bowie address on their driver's license.
