Harrisburg Senators News Release

The Harrisburg Senators are planning a tribute to pop-star Michael Jackson on Saturday night at Metro Bank Park. Jackson passed away unexpectedly on Thursday in Southern California. Jackson began his career as a member of the Jackson 5 then moved on to a solo career and released best-selling albums Off the Wall, Bad, Dangerous and HIStory.

The Senators are planning Michael Jackson themed games, videos on the new state-of-the-art video board and more. Fans coming to the game on Saturday night without a ticket can receive a $2 discount by wearing a single, non-baseball glove to the Little Red Box Office built by Home in Hand. The King of Pop made wearing one glove something of a fad over the past 25 years. Any type of non-baseball glove works from a batting glove to a winter glove and any type of glove in between, just not a baseball glove. Along with the Michael Jackson themed night, it's also night number two of the Senators Pink Weekend. The first 1,000 adults get a free pink cap presented by Capital BlueCross and CBS21. Gates open on Saturday at 5:30pm.

Tickets for any 2009 game are available online at senatorsbaseball.com or by calling 231-4444. Tickets are also available for purchase at the Little Red Box Office built by Home in Hand located across from the stables on the Walnut Street Bridge landing.
