(Rochester, NY) - The Pawtucket Red Sox pounded out 12 hits, including four from Sam Travis, to roll to their sixth straight victory, a 9-4 win over the Rochester Red Wings on Tuesday night at Frontier Field.

Pawtucket (8-5) holds a perfect 6-0 record on its opening road trip, extending its franchise-best road start to a season. The PawSox have outscored opponents, 42-17, on the trip.

Pawtucket's six-game winning streak is its longest since an 11-game winning streak from July 17-26 of the Governors' Cup winning 2014 season.

Travis opened up the scoring against Rochester starter Pat Dean (0-3), driving home Rusney Castillo with an RBI single in the first inning.

After the Red Wings (4-8) tied the game against Pawtucket starter Sean O'Sullivan (2-1) with a sacrifice fly in the third inning, the PawSox offense took off.

Pawtucket scored eight unanswered runs from the fourth to seventh innings.

In the fourth inning, Chris Marrero followed a Travis double with his second home run of the road trip. Jantzen Witte tripled to lead off the fifth and then scored the fourth run for the PawSox.

Following singles by Blake Swihart and Travis to begin the sixth, Justin Maxwell delivered a two-run double. Maxwell ended the night with a season-high three RBI. He is 5-for-9 in the series.

Pawtucket delivered its biggest rally in the seventh inning. Sean Coyle led off with his second home run of the season, a titanic blast off the video board in left center field. Castillo, Travis and Maxwell all followed with singles, leading to the final two runs for the PawSox.

Castillo has multiple hits in four of his five games with Pawtucket this season, while Travis is 8-for-his-last-12 at the dish.

O'Sullivan earned his second win of the road trip, allowing only two runs and three hits in 6.2 innings of work. Rochester leftfielder David Murphy took O'Sullivan deep in the seventh inning for his second run allowed.

Pat Light closed out the game with a perfect ninth inning for Pawtucket.

The PawSox will play game three of their four-game series at Rochester tomorrow at 1:35 p.m. Pawtucket righthander William Cuevas (1-1, 6.17) will make his third start of the season against Red Wings righthander Alex Meyer (1-0, 0.00). Radio coverage begins on WHJJ and throughout the PawSox radio network at 1:05 p.m.

The PawSox will return to McCoy Stadium on Friday for the first contest of a five-game homestand, beginning with a three-game series against Lehigh Valley.
