INDIANAPOLIS - Toledo put four runs on the board in the third and never looked back as the Mud Hens defeated the Indians 5-3 on Tuesday afternoon at Victory Field.

Wilfredo Boscan (1-1) took the loss after surrendering four runs in seven innings while Thad Weber (2-0) was credited with the win for Toledo (6-3) after starter Buck Farmer went only three frames.

Indianapolis (5-5) jumped on the board first in the second inning on an RBI triple from Mel Rojas, Jr., scoring catcher Ed Easley who singled ahead of him.

Boscan's season-opening scoreless streak was snapped at 8.1 in the third inning. Chad Huffman smacked a three-run shot while four runs scored on four hits.

Jason Rogers tallied his fifth two-out RBI of the season in the fifth to cut the lead to 4-2. Adam Frazier doubled and a bobbled ground ball by the Hens' second baseman allowed him to move ahead to third and eventually score on Rogers' base knock.

The Indians cut the lead again in the sixth on three hits. Rojas, Jr. notched another RBI on a bouncing ground ball up the middle, scoring Willy Garcia from third. Garcia's smart baserunning on a tag-up from first earlier in the inning gave him the extra 90 feet he needed to score.

Toledo added an insurance run in the ninth after a leadoff double by Jordany Valdespin.
