IronPigs Look to Sweep Chiefs

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs will go for the sweep of the Syracuse Chiefs on Tuesday night at Coca-Cola Park. First pitch of the series finale is slated for 7:05 p.m.

RHP David Buchanan (0-0, 5.40) gets the ball for the IronPigs on Tuesday night. On Wednesday at Rochester, the right-hander gave up three runs on five hits to go along with a walk and two strikeouts in 5.0 IP in a no-decision. Over parts of four seasons in the IL, Buchanan is 14-6 with a 3.35 ERA in 29 GS.

RHP Taylor Jordan (0-0, 0.82) will be on the bump for manager Billy Gardner Jr's squad. Jordan received a no-decision in his last start on Thursday at Scranton/Wilkes-Barre when he allowed four hits while fanning six over six shutout frames. Back on April 8 vs. Lehigh Valley, the Merritt Island, Fla., native surrendered one run on four hits while walking and fanning a pair over five innings of work in a no-decision.

Pigs OF Will Venable drove in a pair of runs on Monday night and has also hit safely in three of his last four games. In that time, Venable is hitting .286-0-4(4-14, 2B, SB).

The first 3,000 fans 18 and older in attendance will receive an IronPigs Vintage Bobblehead presented by Toyota. Tuesday is also Dance Team Night at Coca-Cola Park.
