PORTLAND, ME. - The Providence Bruins fell to the Portland Pirates 3-2 in overtime at Cross Insurance Arena in Portland, Maine. Ian White and Craig Cunningham each registered a goal and an assist for Providence in the loss.

Despite being out shot 20-3, the Providence Bruins managed to come out of the first period tied at 1 with Portland. The P-Bruins kicked off the scoring on the powerplay when Craig Cunningham tallied his fourth goal of the season at 14:14 of the period. Ian White and Ryan Spooner were credited with the assists. Shots on goal weren't as lopsided in the second, with the Pirates outshooting Providence 11-10. Henrik Samuelsson scored for Portland at 5:37, assisted by Bolduc and Martinook, to put Portland up 2-1.
