Over 21,000 Fans See Titans Make Playoff Push

TRENTON, NJ (March 22, 2004) – A record-setting 21,048 were in attendance for the Titans' first ever three-game weekend series at Sovereign Bank Arena. Titans fans watched as their team went a perfect 3-for-3 in games against the Reading Royals and Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies. An average of 7,016 fans per game were also treated to numerous in-game events throughout the weekend.

On Friday night, 6,223 took in the Titans 2-1 win over the Reading Royals that featured a visit from WWE Superstar Sgt. Slaughter. Sgt. Slaughter was on hand to sign autographs and also joined All-State wrestling champion and Mercer County native, Mark Savino in a tug-a-war against representative from local police and fire departments.

7,490 fans took in Saturday's game, a 5-0 shutout of the Reading Royals. The Titans took the ice for the game wearing special jerseys commemorating the team's five-year anniversary. Players then took the jerseys off their backs for the Titans' 4th annual Post Game Jersey Auction, which raised over $43,000 for local charities.

The Titans completed the weekend with a 4-2 win over the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies in front of 7,490. Sunday's game saw Clash, the Titans mascot, celebrate his fifth birthday and the organization hold its 2nd annual Titans Handprint Auction. The handprints, signed by the each player, helped raise $1,025 to benefit the Somerset Home for Temporarily Displaced Children.

The Trenton Titans are a member of the ECHL – America's Premier "AA" Hockey League. The Trenton Titans play at the Sovereign Bank Arena in Trenton, NJ. The Titans are in fifth place in the Northern Division with five home games remaining in the regular season. They will play two games this week at Sovereign Bank Arena against the Greensboro Generals on Thursday, March 25 at 7:00pm and Saturday, March 26 at 7:30pm.
