
Olympic Gold Medalist Jordyn Wieber Appearing Friday

EVERETT, Wash. - The Everett Silvertips (@WHLSilvertips) are scheduled to host back-to-back games at XFINITY Arena on Friday, Nov. 6 against the Prince George Cougars at 7:35 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 7 against the Vancouver Giants at 7:05 p.m., headlined by an appearance from Olympic Gold Medalist Jordyn Wieber.
The Silvertips will welcome Wieber, 20, to XFINITY Arena with a special autograph session for fans in attendance and her participation in the pregame ceremonial puck drop. She helped the United States capture the gold medal in gymnastics at the 2012 Olympic Games in London and preceded the accomplishment with gold medals at the 2011 World Championships and as the 2011 world women's all-around champion.
Wieber, who helped guide the U.S. to first place in Everett at the 2012 Pacific Rim Gymnastics Championships, is helping launch the upcoming event which returns to XFNITY Arena on April 8-10, 2016. All-session tickets for the event will be available beginning Saturday, 10:00 a.m. at xfinityarenaeverett.com.
Saturday, the Silvertips welcome members of the armed forces to XFINITY Arena for its annual Veteran's Appreciation game and the first meeting of the season with Vancouver. For each ticket purchased for Saturday via an exclusive online offer (link below), an additional ticket will be donated to a veteran from a local group structured to provide enhanced quality-of-life programs for members of the armed forces.
Members of the armed forces, when presenting a valid of military I.D., are eligible for 20 percent off all items at the Silvertips Team Store (excluding jerseys). Kids 12 and under (first 500 through the gates) in attendance will receive a limited edition Noah Juulsen mesh t-shirt, presented by BECU.
