Last Game: Fresno hit two home runs during a five-run first inning, putting the Dodgers in an early hole in an 8-5 loss Friday night at Chukchansi Park. A.J. Reed swatted a three-run homer, and two batters later, Derek Fisher hit a two-run homer to make it 5-0 Fresno in the first inning. The Grizzlies added a run on a RBI double by Jon Kemmer in the fourth inning for a 6-0 lead. The Dodgers got their offense going in the fifth inning with a pair of runs. Travis Taijeron hit a RBI double, and Angelo Mora added a two-out RBI single. However, Fresno responded with two runs in the bottom of the inning to push the lead back to six. The Dodgers scored one run in each of the next three innings. Taijeron picked up his second RBI on a single in the sixth. Kyle Farmer added a RBI in the seventh, and Matt Beaty hit a sharp groundout to plate another run in the eighth to cut the Fresno lead to 8-5. Alex Verdugo drew a leadoff walk in the ninth, but James Hoyt retired the next three batters to end the game and earn his fifth save. Fresno starting pitcher Mike Hauschild (4-5) earned the win, allowing three runs and seven hits over 5.2 innings. Pressed into spot starting duty after a series of roster moves, Emmanuel De Leon (0-1) could not get out of the first inning. He was charged with five runs while recording just one out.
