From the Notes

Sometimes Stats Lie: Nashville and Tacoma entered their four-game series as the two teams with the lowest batting averages in the league. Last night, however, the two ball clubs combined for 21 hits - 12 for Tacoma and nine for Nashville. There were six extra-base hits in the game. The Sounds are now 9-21 when being outhit by their opponent.

900 for the Franager: A win for Nashville tonight would give Sounds manager Fran Riordan his 900th career win. He has a career record of 899-886. He spent 15 seasons as a manager in the Independent Leagues and was inducted into the Frontier League Hall of Fame in 2014. He earned 320 wins with the Kalamazoo Kings of the Frontier League, the most with any single team in his managerial career. He was won 211 games as a manager in Oakland's farm system with Single-A Beloit, Double-A Midland, and Nashville.

Walk it Like I Talk it: The Sounds drew a season-high 12 walks in last night's game, surpassing their previous high of 11 against Omaha on April 14. Four of the 12 free passes were issued by Tacoma infielder Danny Muno who came on to pitch in the ninth but failed to retire a batter. The Sounds have drawn 230 walks on the season, which is the fourth-most in the PCL.

High Five: For the third time this season, Anthony García drove in five runs last night. Four of his runs driven in came on his first career grand slam in the second inning. Franklin Barreto is the only other Sounds player to record five RBI in a game when he did so against Memphis on May 6.
