Nicor Gas Energy Efficiency Program to Debut at Tonight's Cougars Game

GENEVA, IL - The Kane County Cougars and the Nicor Gas Energy Efficiency Program are teaming up to encourage fans to save energy at home using EnergyBUZZ, a free, online tool that tracks energy use. As part of the Nicor Gas Energy Efficiency Program, EnergyBUZZ rewards participants for lowering energy use with points that can be redeemed for local coupons and incentives. The efficiency program and its new online tracking tool will debut at this evening's 6:30 p.m. Cougars game.

Participants receive tips on how to reduce energy waste through small, no- or low-cost actions such as changing a furnace filter and programming a thermostat. With EnergyBUZZ users can see energy savings add up and compare how their progress stacks up to their friends, family and neighbors.

As part of this evening's game, 200 fans will receive a free giveaway compliments of Nicor, and a chance to win tickets for a Cougars suite.
