Wheeling, WV -It's Thursday night and that means another edition of the Nailers Power Hour presented by Pepsi. The show airs Thursdays from 6-7pm on The Mix 97.3 and the Nailers Hockey Network presented by Amica Insurance.
Coach Greg Puhalski and the team are currently travelling to Elmira, NY for their upcoming battle with the Jackals Friday evening. But Bob Rotruck will have a recorded interview with the Chief and also conversations with several others including Nick Bedway on his recent Hall of Fame induction, Billy Higgins who recently served another stint as the team's emergency backup goalie, and also Andrew Lord and Aaron Clarke.
We'll also recap the recent action including the team's four game sweep of South Carolina and also the win streak which came to an end with a 3-2 loss at Cincinnati on Wednesday night. And we'll preview the upcoming games on the schedule for the Wheeling Nailers including a Tuesday morning matchup next week against the Johnstown Chiefs.
Wheeling is at home Saturday night against the Kalamazoo Wings at 8:05. Snowbird Bobbleheads for the first 1000 kids courtesy of WTOV-9.
Nailers Education Field Trip Day is coming Tuesday, February 9th with a special early 11:05am game against the Johnstown Chiefs. Free admission for students and teachers but you have to register your school in advance. Educational handbooks for all the schools and $4 lunch-bags will be made available as well.
