Salmon Kings' Latendresse Loaned To Heat

Victoria, BC - The Victoria Salmon Kings, proud affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks and Manitoba Moose, announced today that forward Olivier Latendresse has been loaned to the Abbotsford Heat of the American Hockey League (AHL).

The native of LaSalle, Quebec will join the Heat after participating in all 47 of the Salmon Kings' regular season contests this year where he registered 47 points (16g-31a) and 38 minutes in penalties. Latendresse's 31 assists is currently tops on the Salmon Kings' roster.

The 23-year-old forward has previously played three games in the AHL this season with the Manitoba Moose where he accumulated no points and two penalty minutes.

Latendresse has played 47 career games in the AHL between the Moose, Hamilton Bulldogs and San Antonio Rampage where he has scored three goals and 17 assists for 20 points while serving 45 penalty minutes.

The Salmon Kings' roster now sits at 21 players (13 forwards, 6 defensemen and 2 goaltenders).

The Salmon Kings and Utah Grizzlies continue their three game-set with contests on Friday, February 5th, and Saturday, February 6th. Puck drop for all three games versus Utah is 7:05 p.m. Saturday night is the third of four dates that the Salmon Kings present their "Shuffle-to-Win" contest courtesy of Dave Wheaton GMC and the Times Colonist for a chance to win a brand new Cadillac SRX.
