BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Ryan Munce stopped all 30 shots he faced en route to the first shutout of his professional career as the Bakersfield Condors defeated the Victoria Salmon Kings by a score of 3-0 in front of 6,330 fans at the Rabobank Arena.

Bakersfield converted their first power play opportunity of the game as Andrew Ianiero worked a puck along the right wing boards into the offensive zone. Ianiero's centering feed took a ricochet off the right skate of Joel Irving and toward Victoria netminder Rob McVicar, who made the initial kick save. The rebound returned to Irving, who batted the puck past McVicar to give the Condors the initial 1-0 lead just 4:41 into the first period.

Ianiero would make it 2-0 with 1:20 left in the period after a wrist shot from Kevin Truelson popped in and out of the glove of McVicar. Ianiero tapped the puck through the five-hole of the Victoria goaltender to give the Condors a two goal lead heading into the first intermission.

The Salmon Kings pressured the Condors throughout the second period, outshooting Bakersfield 13-5. The Condor defense, however, kept the puck along the boards and limited Victoria's shot selection to the blue line and outside the circles as Bakersfield's 2-0 lead carried into the third period.

Bakersfield continued their prowess midway through the third, when Paul Rosebush stretched forward at the blue line and fed a soft backhand pass to Kevin St. Jacques on the left wing. St. Jacques patiently waited for an opening past McVicar and pulled the trigger on a wrist shot under the crossbar with 7:23 left in the game and putting the score at the eventual final tally of 3-0.
