PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Saturday announced that Charlotte rookie goaltender Jeff Glass has been added to the American Conference roster for the 2006 ECHL All-Star Game presented by Bud Light.
Glass replaces starting goaltender Cody Rudkowsky, who was injured while playing in a game for Bridgeport of the American Hockey League on Friday. Johnstown rookie goaltender Jonathan Boutin will replace Rudkowsky as the starting goaltender for the American Conference.
Selected in the third round (89th overall) by Ottawa in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft and under contract to the Senators, the 20-year-old Glass is 9-5-3 with a goals-against average of 3.04 and a save percentage of .913 in 17 games with Charlotte and 1-3-0 with a goals-against average of 4.12 and a save percentage of .882 in five games with Binghamton of the AHL.
The 6-foot-2 and 185-pound Glass helped Canada capture the gold medal at the 2005 World Junior Championships.
