Indianapolis Indians News Release

INDIANAPOLIS -- The Toledo Mud Hens (60-81) scored three runs in the fourth inning and held off the Indianapolis Indians (81-60) for a 3-2 win on Friday night at Victory Field. With Columbus victorious over Louisville, the Indians are now in a tie for first place in the International League's West Division with three games remaining in the regular season.

Toledo used back-to-back home runs from Steven Moya and Manny Pina in their fourth-inning outburst. Moya's homer plated two runs and gave the Mud Hens a 3-1 lead at the time.

In the bottom of the seventh, John Bowker cut the lead to one with a double. The Tribe had the tying run at third base and the go-ahead run at second, but could not add to the rally.

Josh Zeid (4-3) made a spot start for Toledo and earned the win.

The Indians, who have clinched a playoff spot, welcomed 12,644 fans tonight and are seeking to break the club's attendance record of 660,289 during tomorrow's regular season home finale.
