The Toledo Mud Hens improved their record to 60-81 after posting an 81-60 victory over the Indianapolis Indians (81-60) Friday night at Victory Field. After Friday night's win, Toledo improves to 9-13 on the season against the Indians, and 29-35 in the International League West division. Toledo currently is sitting on a five game win-streak, tied for their longest streak of the season.

Toledo starter, Josh Zeid made his fourth start and improved his record to 4-3 and a 4.46 ERA. Zeid with the help of Angel Nesbitt, Ian Krol and Rafael Dolis sent five Indians batters back to the bench.

Mud Hens' catcher, Manny Pina is currently sitting on a five game hit-streak, going 1-for-3 on the evening with a solo home run to center field. The following at-bat, Detroit's number one prospect, Steven Moya blasted a two-run homer. Moya went 1-for-4 on the night. Six of the seven Mud Hens' batters recorded a hit on the evening. Toledo sits in the 11th place spot for team batting average in the International league with a .252.

Indianapolis capitalized in the first and seventh inning, both scoring on line drives to right field. Keon Broxton and John Bowker produced Indianapolis's only RBI. The Indians were limited to seven hits thanks to the Toledo pitching core.

The Mud Hens are back in game two against the Indians Saturday night, first pitch is slated for 6:05 pm. Luis Cessa is slated for making his seventh start in a Hens uniform. Cessa has a record of 1-2 with an ERA of 5.56. This story was not subject to the approval of the National Association of Professional Baseball Leagues or its clubs.
