Utah Grizzlies News Release

West Valley City, Utah - Utah Grizzlies Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Kevin Colley announced today that goaltender Adam Morrison has been reassigned to Utah by the Boston Bruins. In addition, the Grizzlies have signed goaltender Ben Meisner to a standard player contract after he joined the team on an amateur tryout agreement last week.

Both players will be in uniform Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m. when the Grizzlies return to action in Las Vegas.

Morrison, 22, who was first assigned to Utah in February, was 6-6-1-1 with Utah with a .903 save percentage and a 3.46 goals-against-average with the Grizzlies. He was a third round pick of Philadelphia in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. In his last outing with Utah, he stopped 24 of 26 shots as Utah beat Colorado 3-2 in overtime on March 10.

Meisner, 22, was signed to an ATO by the Grizzlies last week after finishing his college career at American International College, where he finished 12th all-time in the NCAA with 3,684 saves. He helped extend Utah's season-long unbeaten streak to seven, by going 1-0-0-3 on the road trip with a .916 save percentage and a 2.59 goals-against-average.

The Grizzlies return home Wednesday, March 27; Friday, March 29 and Saturday, March 30 to host Colorado. Wednesday is a Wild $2 Wednesday with $2 Hot Dogs, $2 Fries, $2 Soft Drinks and $2 Draft Beers, plus $5 student tickets. Friday and Saturday is Fan Appreciation Weekend, that includes a post-game skate with the team after Saturday's game for the regular season home finale.
