Veteran Center Harrison Reed Returned from Loan to Lake Erie Monsters

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League, announced veteran center Harrison Reed has been returned to the team from loan to the Lake Erie Monsters of the American Hockey League.

Reed, 25, returns to the Thunder with a career high 21 goals and 43 points, leaving on Feb. 7 for the AHL as the Thunder's leading goal scorer. His 12 power play goals are fifth in the league and he has served the Thunder as an alternate captain this season.

The 6-foot-1 and 188 pound forward posted a goal and an assist in 14 games with Lake Erie this season and has collected 27 points in 208 career AHL games with the Monsters, Houston Aeros and Albany River Rats.

In 105 career ECHL games with Stockton, Toledo and Florida, Reed has buried 46 goals and posted 91 points.

The native of Newmarket, Ontario finished as a runner up for the ECHL Player of the Week award in each of the previous two weeks before his call-up in February. Reed was selected in the third round (93rd overall) of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft by the Carolina Hurricanes.

The Thunder returns to play tomorrow at San Francisco beginning at 7:15 p.m. (1280 AM KWSX/StocktonThunder.com).
