Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies News Release
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. - The Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies of the ECHL have announced that goaltender Jake Moreland has signed a contract with Worcester of the American Hockey League, and defenseman Brian Fahey has been loaned to Hershey of the AHL through Worcester. Due to AHL rules regarding players that sign contracts at this point of the year, Moreland must remain with Worcester through the balance of their season.
Moreland, 24, begins his second stint with Worcester. The Grand Forks, ND native was loaned to the Ice Cats back on February 17, and made his AHL debut in fine fashion stopping 18 of 19 shots in a 2-0 loss against Bridgeport. In his rookie season, Moreland is 11-4-1 in 19 starts for the Bullies with a 2.75 goals against average and a .910% save percentage. His last start came in a 4-2 win at Dayton on February 25.
Fahey, 23, also begins his second stint in the AHL, and his first with Hershey. The Glenview, IL native leads all Bullies defensemen in scoring with 11 goals and 37 points, and ranks ninth in scoring among ECHL defensemen. Fahey is also third among ECHL defensemen in power play goals with 9, and third among ECHL rookies in plus-minus ratio at plus-21. Fahey was loaned to Worcester back on January 25, and made his AHL debut on January 30 at Springfield.
