Lynx Announce The Year Of The Fan
March 11, 2004 - ECHL (ECHL)
Augusta Lynx News Release
With the Augusta Lynx having submitted to the ECHL office its available dates for next season and its intent-to-play statement for next season, the team has launched its season ticket drive for 2004-05.
The ticket campaign and effective slogan for 2004-05 has been entitled "The Year of the Fan," as the Lynx organization reaffirms its commitment to our loyal supporters.
With new owners Frank Lawrence and Billy Morris securing prominent members of the Augusta business community as season ticket holders for next season, the initial goals of the campaign is to secure 1,000 season-ticket deposits by May 1, 2004, and 1,600 season tickets sold by September 1, 2004. Less than one week into the drive, the Lynx are well on our way toward reaching that goal.
"The team got a late start working on season tickets, promotions and other features for the current season because of the change in ownership and management," Lynx Assistant General Manager Rob Mueller said. "But our front office staff is as strong and as committed as it's ever been. We promise our fans that next season will be our best yet."
Lynx General Manager Paul Gamsby agreed, adding that the "The Year of the Fan" is more of a "mission statement" than a marketing slogan.
"Our organization has been revitalized with new ownership and some key additions to staff this season, and that staff has worked together to refocus our commitment to our fans," Gamsby said. "We have heard many of you in recent weeks at our Town Hall Meeting and have looked closely at the input you've given us in our recent fan survey, and in turn have some exciting new things to offer our fans in 2004-05."
Presently, the Lynx are offering full season ticket packages for 2004-05 (36 games). In the coming weeks and months, partial-season plans will also be unveiled. Deposits for season tickets are $50 per seat. Current season ticket holders also have the benefit of locking in at their current ticket price by purchasing their tickets and paying in full by June 1, 2004.
Beginning with this Saturday night's game against the Florence Pride at 7:35 p.m., renewals and new season-ticket purchases or deposits will be taken at two customer service booths at Augusta-Richmond County Civic Center. Our new "The Year of the Fan" brochures and ticket order forms are available at the arena on game nights.
Also, the brochures and ticket order forms are available for download at the Lynx Web site at www.augustalynx.com. Season tickets can also be secured at the Lynx office. Call 724-4423 for more information.
