Monarchs Sign Forwards Tyler Gjurich and Ryan Patsch

MANCHESTER, N.H. - Manchester Monarchs Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations, Rich Seeley, announced today that the Monarchs have signed forwards Tyler Gjurich and Ryan Patsch.

Gjurich, 23, played in 35 games for the Danbury Titans (FHL) this season, scoring 74 points on 40 goals and 34 assists with a +23 rating and 39 penalty minutes. This season, Gjurich has played in five ECHL games between the Quad City Mallards and Elmira Jackals, scoring three points on three assists.

The 5-foot-10, 181-pound Hatfield, Pa. native was named the OJHL Most Valuable Player for the 2012-13 season when he played for the Buffalo Junior Sabres. That season, Gjurich lead the OJHL in goals (53) and points (97) while also being named Rookie of the Year.

Patsch, 24, played in 35 games for Danbury this season, scoring 54 points on 20 goals and 34 assists while playing to a +34 rating and earning 76 penalty minutes. This season, Patsch played in four games with the Elmira Jackals without recording a point.

The 6-foot-1, 172-pound native of Philadelphia, Pa. played in 139 games over parts of three seasons with the Titans, scoring 173 points on 74 goals and 99 assists, playing to a +55 rating and earning 165 penalty minutes. Patsch was named the 2013-14 FHL Rookie of the Year.

Gjurich, Patsch and the Monarchs are back in action tonight, Feb. 26 (7:30 p.m.) when they visit the Norfolk Admirals from Scope Arena in Virginia. The Monarchs return home Friday, Mar. 4 (7 p.m.) to play the Orlando Solar Bears and will collecting clothes for the Goodwill Clothing Drive. The Monarchs will also host American Pride Night on Saturday, Mar. 5 (7 p.m.).
