Head-To-Head "" This is the ninth meeting of the regular season and the first of three games between the two teams this weekend. Allen is 8-0-0 against Wichita this season. This is the sixth game at Intrust Bank Arena (5-0-0).
Leading the Way "" Chad Costello leads the ECHL with 71 points in 53 games. Costello is tied for fourth in the ECHL with 21 goals. Costello leads the ECHL with 27 power play points.
Between the Pipes "" Joel Rumpel will get the start tonight for Allen. Rumpel has played in 34 games this season with a record of 18-10-2-2. He has given up 15 goals in his last four starts and is 0-2-1-1
Road Funk "" The Americans have dropped seven of their last ten road games and four straight. The Americans haven't won back to back road games in over a month. The last two road wins in a row came in Wichita on January 22nd & 23rd.
Returning Americans"" Spencer Asuchak and Reggie Traccitto are both expected to return to the Americans lineup tonight. Neither player has played since the Alaska trip.
Wichita Notes "" The Thunder are paced by former Americans forward Kale Kerbashian who leads the team in both points (29) and assists (20). The Thunder have signed former Americans goalie Adrien Lemay to a contract. Lemay played with the Americans during the 2010-2011 season.
Around The ECHL "" There are 12 games in the ECHL tonight, with all but two teams in action. A matchup to watch tonight in the ECHL takes place in, Boise, Idaho, with a first place showdown on the line. The Utah Grizzlies trail the first place Idaho Steelheads by two points with two games in hand. If the playoffs were to start today, the Allen Americans would face the Utah Grizzlies in round one in a 4 vs. 5 matchup.
