LAST WEEK'S HIGHLIGHTS
Vs. Philadelphia (10/29): Rookies Dany Roussin, Jeff Tambellini and Brendan Bernakevitch scored their first professional goals in the Monarchs 5-1 victory over the 2005 Calder Cup champion Philadelphia Phantoms on Saturday night. Bernakevitch tallied twice and right wing Brad Smyth ended up with the game-winner for the Monarchs. Manchester's goaltender Adam Hauser finished with 30 saves and his second victory of the season. Philadelphia's goaltender Rejean Beauchemin took his second loss of the season with 25 saves. The Monarchs went 1-for-7 on the power play and held their opponent's special teams to 0-for-4.

Vs. Hartford (10/30): Left wing Jeff Tambellini scored the lone shootout goal to give the Monarchs a 4-3 win over the Hartford Wolf Pack on Sunday evening. Monarchs goaltender Barry Brust denied all five Wolf Pack shooters for his second win of the season. Center Connor James, left wing Jeff Giuliano and Tambellini scored in regulation for the Monarchs. The Wolf Pack received tallies from right wing Petr Prucha, left wing Nigel Dawes and right wing Craig Weller. Hartford's goaltender Chris Holt stopped 35 shots from the Monarchs. Manchester went 0-for-6 on the power play and Hartford was 2-for-5.

MONARCHS NEWS & NOTES
The Monarchs (4-2-0-1, 9 points) are currently tied for fourth place in the Atlantic Division.

The Monarchs are currently on a three game winning streak, beating the Houston Aeros 2-1 in overtime on Saturday, October 22, topping the Philadelphia Phantoms, 5-1, on Saturday, October 29, and edging the Hartford Wolf Pack 4-3 in a shootout on Sunday, October 30.

Manchester has not lost a game in regulation in the last five games. Along with the wins against Houston, Philadelphia and Hartford, the Monarchs lost to San Antonio in a shootout on Friday, October 21 and won their home opener, 3-2, in overtime against the Springfield Falcons.

Manchester is undefeated on home ice for the 2005-06 season with wins against the Falcons, Phantoms and Wolf Pack. The Monarchs longest franchise home winning streak stretched ten games at the beginning of the 2004-05 season when the team won 20 of their first 21 games.

Left wing Jeff Giuliano is on a four-game scoring streak. The 5-foot-9, 205-pound native of Nashua, New Hampshire, has three goals and four points in his last four games.

After being held off the scoreboard in the Monarchs first five games, left wing Jeff Tambellini has five points in his last two games. The 5-foot-11, 186-pound native of Port Moody, British Columbia, scored his first professional goal and assist against the Phantoms on Saturday night and then played a part in all three of the Monarchs goals against the Wolf Pack on Sunday. Tambellini also scored the only shootout tally in Sunday's contest for the victory over Hartford.

Goaltender Barry Brust won his second game and his first shootout contest against the Wolf Pack on Sunday evening. The 6-foot-2, 216-pound native of Swan River, Manitoba, stopped 39 of Hartford's 42 shots and then denied all five of the Wolf Pack's shootout snipers.

Right wing Brad Smyth leads the Monarchs in scoring with six points (1-5=6) in seven games. Smyth scored the game-winning goal for the Monarchs on Saturday night against the Phantoms. The 6-foot, 200-pound native of Ottawa, Ontario, is ranked 42nd on the AHL all-time regular season points list with 587 points (293-294=587) in 537 games over 10 seasons (1994-present). Smyth is only three points away from catching left wing Bob Solinger in the 41st position with 590 points (241-349=707) in 707 games from 1945-60.

Left wing Noah Clarke played in Friday night's Los Angeles Kings game at the STAPLES Center. The 5-foot-9, 175-pound native of LaVerne, California, was called up to the Kings on Friday, played in the game against the San Jose Sharks that night and returned to Manchester for Sunday's game against the Wolf Pack. The Kings ninth-round (250th overall) pick in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft, Clarke collected zero points and penalty minutes with the Kings on Friday.

Monarchs Magnetic Schedule Night: The first 5,000 fans to the Monarchs game of Saturday, November 5 against the Norfolk Admirals will receive a 2005-06 magnetic schedule courtesy of Dunkin Donuts.

MONARCHS EVENTS
Season Ticket Holder Meet and Greet #1: The Monarchs are hosting the first of two Season Ticket Holder Meet and Greets on Wednesday, November 2 from 6-8 p.m. Season ticket holders have the opportunity to come to the Verizon Wireless Arena to get autographs and to socialize with the members of the 2005-06 Monarchs team.
