Hamilton faces two north division opponents this week

The Hamilton Bulldogs play three games this week, beginning with two games against the Toronto Marlies. The Bulldogs travel to Toronto on Thursday, November 3 (7:30 p.m.), before completing the home-and-home series on Saturday, November 5, when the Marlies visit Copps Coliseum (7:00 p.m.). Hamilton ends the week on Sunday, November 6, when the North Division leading Grand Rapids Griffins visit Copps Coliseum (4:00 p.m.).

Team Notes

The Bulldogs set one team record and tied another in Friday's 7-6 victory over the Syracuse Crunch.

The Bulldogs set a new franchise record for most power-play goals scored in one game with five. Hamilton scored four power-play goals in one game a total of five times, with the last time on February 21, 2003 at Milwaukee.

The five power play goals given up by Hamilton tied the team record for most power play goals allowed in one game. The Bulldogs also allowed five power play goals on December 17, 2000 at Providence.

Player Notes

LW Jean-Francois Jacques set a new Bulldogs record for the fastest three goals by a Hamilton player in one game, accomplishing the feat in a span of 3:50 during the second period of Friday's game. Jacques also added an assist. The previous record was held by Paul Healey, who accomplished the feat in 10:51 on November 25, 2000 at Worcester.

D Ron Hainsey became the Bulldogs' all-time assist leader among defensemen on Sunday vs. Hershey (4-2 L), when he earned an assist on Corey Locke's first period goal. Hainsey led Hamilton with seven points (1g-6a) this week, including two multipoint games (four assists at Syracuse, two assists vs. Hershey).

Four Bulldogs players recorded professional career firsts on Friday at Syracuse.

C Marc-Antoine Pouliot scored his first professional game-winning goal with nine seconds remaining in the third period

C Francis Lemieux and C Maxim Lapierre each had two assists to record the first multipoint game of their professional careers

D Danny Syvret recorded his first professional point, earning an assist

C Corey Locke collected his 50th point as a Bulldog when he scored a first-period goal vs. Hershey on Sunday

Hamilton defenceman Andre Benoit scored his first professional goal against the Griffins

Grand Rapids is currently in first place in the North Division with 13 points (6-2-0-1)

Former Bulldog Nate DiCasmirro ranks fourth on the Griffins with eight points (2g-6a)

Grand Rapids winger Jiri Hudler leads the AHL in scoring with 21 points (12g-9a) in nine games
