WOLF TRACKS
The Wolves finished the month of October below .500 for just the second time in team history (3-4-1-1)
The Wolves share the league lead with three short-handed goals; all three have come on the road, which paces the AHL; last year, Chicago registered just one shorty in 40 road games.
Last Friday's 7-6 shootout loss against Omaha marked the first time since April 2, 1999, that the Wolves recorded six goals in a game and lost; Chicago was defeated, 7-6, in a shootout against Grand Rapids that night.
The Wolves were thwarted on two penalty shot attempts last week; the team has not cashed in on a penalty-shot opportunity in 108 regular-season games.
CHICAGO BLUES
Chicago has lost three straight home games, marking the first time the team has dropped three consecutive contests at the Allstate Arena since April 3 to 7, 2002, a span of 123 tilts.
