The Wolf Pack fought through their first three-games-in-three-days stretch of the season this past weekend and captured five out of a possible six points. They battled back from a 2-0 deficit on the road against Providence Friday night and won 3-2, then rode Al Montoya's franchise-record 51 saves to a 3-2 GEICO Connecticut Cup home victory over Bridgeport Saturday, before losing 4-3 in a shootout at Manchester on Sunday.
This week: The Wolf Pack play another three-in-three, highlighted by Pinewood Derby Night with the Wolf Pack this Saturday night, November 5th, at the Hartford Civic Center vs. Providence. That is a Scout Night, at which all fans, not just Scouts, receive a souvenir lunch box, which contains a Pinewood Derby car kit. That is bookended by divisional road games Friday night in Albany and Sunday (4:05) at Springfield.
Tuesday, November 1 - "Wolf Pack Confidential" at Little Mark's Big Barbecue on ESPN Radio 1410 The Wolf Pack's newly-renamed weekly hourlong live radio show (formerly "Pack Talk") originates live from Little Mark's Big Barbecue, 279 West Main Street (Route 44) in Avon from 7 to 8:00 p.m. Scheduled to join host Bob Crawford this week are Assistant Coach Ken Gernander and goaltender Al Montoya. They will be taking questions from the live audience at Little Mark's (all are invited), and the show can be heard on ESPN Radio 1410 and on-line at www.hartfordwolfpack.com.
Friday, November 4 at Albany (Pepsi Arena), 7:00 p.m.
The River Rats have split four games thus far on the season, and are tied for the most goals-scored (27) in the Atlantic Division.
Aleksander Suglobov and Peter Vrana have paced the Albany offense, both with 4-2-6 in 7 GP.
The Rats are coached by former long-time NHL bench boss Robbie Ftorek.

Saturday, November 5 vs. Providence at the Hartford Civic Center, 7:00 p.m.
The Wolf Pack beat the Bruins 3-2 in Providence Friday night in the first game of the season series, after the Bruins built a 2-0 lead in the first period.
A line of Tyler Redenbach (1-1-2), Nathan Robinson (1-1-2) and Zdenek Blatny (two assists) accounted for both Providence goals in Friday's game.
This is the Wolf Pack's first Scout Night of the season, and it's Pinewood Derby Night with the Wolf Pack! The Falcons have won both previous games between themselves and the Wolf Pack, after the Pack went 7-2-0-1 vs. Springfield last season.
Jason Jaspers notched two goals and an assist against the Wolf Pack in a 4-3 Falcon overtime win October 21st in Springfield. He leads all Falcon scorers with 4-5-9 in 7 GP.

The Wolf Pack's first Wednesday night home game is coming up on November 9th (7:00 faceoff), when the Pack host the Kevin Dineen-coached Portland Pirates. Following that game, selected Wolf Pack players will be signing autographs in center court of the Civic Center Mall.
