
Norfolk Admirals split weekend series

NORFOLK, VA - This past weekend, the Admirals played back-to-back games against the Albany River Rats, winning the first game before dropping the second. On October 28th, Nathan Barrett had a goal and an assist while Martin St. Pierre netted three points as Norfolk won its second game of the season 3-1. Albany got its revenge the next night, coming from behind in the third period to defeat the Admirals 3-2.
Norfolk travels to New England beginning Wednesday in Bridgeport, followed by contests in Providence, Manchester and Lowell to close out the week.
STANDINGS
At 2-5-0-1 (5 pts), Norfolk is currently tied in points with Bridgeport (2-4-1-0) for fourth in the East.
The division is led by Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (9-0-0-0, 18 pts) followed by Hershey (5-3-0-2, 12 pts) and Philadelphia (4-5-0-0, 8 pts).
Binghamton (1-5-1-0, 3 pts) sits in sixth place.
