ERIE, PA - The Erie SeaWolves scored five unanswered runs to defeat the Binghamton Mets, 5-4, in come-from-behind fashion on Wednesday night at Jerry Uht Park. Jason Krizan drove in three runs, including two on a go-ahead double in the eighth, to spearhead the comeback and hand the B-Mets their third loss on the road trip.

With Erie trailing by one, Wynton Bernard started the eighth by walking against Matt Koch. After the B-Met reliever failed to cleanly handle a bunt by Alberto Gonzalez, Jeff McVaney sent a chopper to short. Gavin Cecchini looked to third for a force out, before he pocketed the infield bouncer to load the bases. Krizan made lined a go-ahead, two-run double into the left-field alley, burning the B-Mets for their defensive misplays.

Binghamton had one last gasp in the ninth against Paul Voelker. Josh Rodriguez led off with a single, but was nabbed when he froze between first and second on an attempted steal. Voelker allowed two more to reach before striking out Cecchini to seal his first career Double-A save.

Binghamton's lone offensive burst came in the third when they plated four runs on five consecutive two-out hits. Cecchini put Binghamton on the board by bouncing an RBI single up the middle, Michael Conforto added with a run-producing infield single to second and Brock Peterson capped the frame by pelting the left-field wall with a two-run double.

Down by four, Drew Longley started Erie's comeback with one swing in the third, blasting Seth Lugo's first pitch of the inning onto the arena beyond the left-field wall for his fourth home run of the season. In the sixth, Gonzalez blasted an RBI double to left-center and scored two batters later when LJ Mazzilli failed to recover the ball after he knocked down Krizan's single to second.

Erie starter Tommy Collier shook off his rocky third inning and shut down the B-Mets into the seventh inning before handing off to Drew VerHagen.

Seth Lugo allowed three runs on seven hits over seven innings. The righty matched a season-high with eight strikeouts and was in line for his first win since May 5 before Krizan's go-ahead hit.

Koch (4-4) allowed both runs in the eighth and suffered his fourth blown save. VerHagen (2-0) tossed 1-1/3 scoreless innings of relief to earn the win.

The B-Mets (39-38) continue their final regular season visit to Jerry Uht Park in 2015 on Thursday night at 7:05 PM. RHP Gabriel Ynoa makes his second start of the road trip and faces RHP Austin Kubitza.
