Miracle On Ice Members Buzz Schneider And Bob Suter To Join Admirals January 31

Milwaukee, WI-Milwaukee Admirals President Jon Greenberg announced today that United States Olympic gold medalists Buzz Schneider and Bob Suter will great fans and sign autographs at the team's 4:00 pm game on January 31 against the Hamilton Bulldogs at the Bradley Center. Both Schneider and Suter were members of the famed "Miracle on Ice" 1980 US Olympic Team.

A member of the famed "Conehead Line," Schneider recorded five goals and tallied three assists during the 1980 Olympics and had 42 points (27g-15a) in 62 games for the US in the run-up to the Olympics. He also scored the first US goal in the team's historic 4-3 victory over the Soviet Union. In the two seasons before joining the "Miracle on Ice" squad, the Grand Rapids, MN native played for the Admirals, recording a combined 64 points (28g-36a) in 123 games in the 1977-78 and 1978-79 seaons.

Suter is a native of Madison, Wisconsin and graduated from the Madison East High School before playing for "Badger" Bob Johnson at the University of Wisconsin where he helped the Badgers capture the 1977 NCAA Championship. As a defenseman he recorded 18 points (7g-11a) for the US in the run to the gold medal. Suter's son, Ryan, played for the Admirals during the 2004-05 season and was recently named as an alternate captain for the 2010 US Olympic Hockey Squad.
