Moose Sign Beauchemin To PTO

The Manitoba Moose announced today they have signed goaltender Rejean Beauchemin to a professional tryout contract.

Beauchemin, 24, has appeared in one game with the Moose so far this season after signing his first PTO on Oct. 28/09. In his time with the AHL club, he amassed a 0-1-0 record, 4.00 goals against average, and 0.846 save percentage. He has also played in 20 games with the ECHL's Idaho Steelheads where he has compiled a record of 13-6-1 with a goals against average of 2.69 and a save percentage of 0.898. He sits fourth overall in the ECHL for wins and sixth for goals against average.

In 24 career games in the AHL with Philadelphia, Houston, and Manitoba, the Winnipeg, MB native is 5-15-1 with a with a 3.25 goals against average and a 0.890 save percentage.

Beauchemin was originally drafted by Philadelphia in the sixth round, 191st overall, in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
